WEST SIKKIM
Introduction
Gangtok, the "Lofty Hill" or the "Hill made flat to build the Gangtok monastery in 1716". Gangtok is a city, which, till one sees it, one would believe exists only in picture-story books. In the mystery-laden mists prayer flags whip in the breeze; wheels spin in the hands of Lamas mumbling invocations to God, in the distance are the snows, on the streets amidst brightly painted pagoda roofed houses, lined with friendly smiling people are silver, silk and spice and jewellery to gladden an maiden's heart, from across the seven seas are gadget and goods to delight the collector of "imported goods', while directly overlooking the city is the hill Lukshyma, the 'Mother of Pearl' citadel of the magic mountain, Khang-Chen-Dzod-Nga.
An air of enchantment hangs over the city, indeed the whole valley; the mysticism, the stupas, the monasteries reach out as soon as one has crossed the border. While across the hills and valleys comes the sounding of the long trumpets by robed lamas.

ITINERARY
DAY-01: Arrive New jalpaiguri by overnight train or AC Sleeper Bus / Volvo. Transfer to Car / Bolero for drive up the hills to Pelling. On arrival, transfer to hotel for refreshment & lunch. Evening drive up to a remote village called Sakyong for a cocktail party with bonfire & barbecue dinner. Return to the comfort of the hotel for overnight in PELLING.
DAY-02: After breakfast depart for a half-day sight seeing of Kecheoparli Lake, Pemayangtse Monastery, Kanchedzonga Falls, Rimbi Falls & rock garden. Return to hotel for lunch and some rest as a preparation for the evening dance party on rooftop with cocktail dinner. Overnight stay in PELLING.
DAY-03: After breakfast depart for HEE BEERMIOK-one of the least known West Sikkim Hills, here the road ends and your tryst with the Himalayas start. On arrival transfer to the hotel HEE BEERMIOK for a hot sumptuous lunch. HEE BEERMIOK is a high table land where the Kanchedzonga Peaks are on touching distances. Evening free to walk about in this wild Himalayan countryside. As the night settles descend into for your private moments. O/N HEE BEERMIOK.

DAY-04: Wake up early to catch a glimpse of the Sunrise on the Himalayan Peaks with hot brewed tea. A stroll in chilling Himalayan early morning breeze to follow. After breakfast time for packing and a few paces here and there in this quaint Himalayan Village. After lunch depart for Siliguri to connect the AC Sleeper bus for onward journey to Kolkata. Or by train from NJP for Kolkata.
