DARJEELING & TINCHULAY
Introduction
Gangtok, the "Lofty Hill" or the "Hill made flat to build the Gangtok monastery in 1716". Gangtok is a city, which, till one sees it, one would believe exists only in picture-story books. In the mystery-laden mists prayer flags whip in the breeze; wheels spin in the hands of Lamas mumbling invocations to God, in the distance are the snows, on the streets amidst brightly painted pagoda roofed houses, lined with friendly smiling people are silver, silk and spice and jewellery to gladden an maiden's heart, from across the seven seas are gadget and goods to delight the collector of "imported goods', while directly overlooking the city is the hill Lukshyma, the 'Mother of Pearl' citadel of the magic mountain, Khang-Chen-Dzod-Nga.
An air of enchantment hangs over the city, indeed the whole valley; the mysticism, the stupas, the monasteries reach out as soon as one has crossed the border. While across the hills and valleys comes the sounding of the long trumpets by robed lamas.

ITINERARY
04 DAYS & 03 NIGHTS EX. New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport
DAY-01:
Arrive by overnight train at New Jalpaiguri. Transfer to Jeep for onward journey to Darjeeling-the queen of Indian Hill Station. Evening free in Darjeeling. O/N in Darjeeling.
DAY-02:
Depart early morning for sight seeing trip of Tiger Hill for excellent view of sunrise on Mount Everest and the various peaks as they glow in gold. Post breakfast sightseeing of seven points. Evening free in Darjeeling. O/N in Darjeeling.
DAY-03:
Depart after breakfast for Tinchulay- the abode in the clouds (1 ½ hrs drive from Darjeeling through the forests of Takdah). Sightseeing en route on arrival, transfer to rooms for refreshment. Evening around the bonfire with acoustical guitar for some light music and fun. Post dinner rest overnight in Tinchulay. O/N in Tinchulay.
DAY-04:
Morning depart on foot to see the excellent view of the sunrise from above the resort. Also go for some leisurely walks after the breakfast. Depart after breakfast for New Jalpaiguri to connect for train to Kolkata. O/N in Train. (Please Note: In case guests who would like to check-out late: i.e.: around midday they may order before hand lunch at the resort in Tinchulay for lunch on extra payments. The package covers food until breakfast on last day.

PACKAGE INCLUDES: Accommodation in twin/family sharing basis in. Boarding at Darjeeling on MAP-AI (Bed Tea, Breakfast and any one Major Non Veg major meal) and at Tinchulay on full board (all meals, evening tea and snacks). Transportation: pick–up and drop back and forth from NJP-Station, sightseeing as per the itinerary above with transfers by one Jeep (Sumo/Marshall/Bolero etc).
PACKAGE EXCLUDES: Anything not mentioned above, packaged drinking water, extra bills on room service, laundry, telephone, Porterage, tips etc. Children below 3 yrs free: 25% for Children between 3-5 yrs; 75% for children between 5-11 yrs. Service Tax @ 1.236% on Total billing.
